NUI Galway Students' Union hold their annual SHAG Week Sexual Health Awareness and Guidance Week from February 13th - 17th 2012.
SHAG is a campaign run in colleges across the country to promote a safe and responsible attitude to sex. The Students Union will distribute 4,000 "SHAG Packs" to students which include a condom and a safe sex information booklet produced by AIDS West. Events will be held on campus all week to promote the campaign.
Our Student Travelcard machine is now working.

Fire walking is the practice of walking barefoot across a bed of burning coals without getting burned. Fire walking is a powerful tool designed to help transform fear and to inspire people to do things they initially didn't think possible. At this event sponsored individuals, after a motivational training session, walk across 20 feet of wood embers burning at 1200 degrees Fahrenheit without experiencing any pain or injury! Does this sound like your cup of tea?
All of the money raised will go to the two Students’ Union nominated Charities: Galway Rape Crisis Centre and SpunOut.ie.
